| donny levit is a writer and director living in New York. since 1999, he has developed a series of plays that often combine a film and/or live sound component. these include 23 Skiddoo!! (1999), .burn merchants. (2000), brimful (llenisimo) (2001) and «wink» (2002-2004). over the past years, levit's work has ranged from classical plays to contemporary events. he has been both a visiting director or visiting faculty for both student projects and departmental programs at lincoln center institute, new jersey shakespeare festival, california shakespeare festival, connecticut college, dartmouth college, fordham college at lincoln center, and yale university. between 1998 and 2005, he taught the directors' lab at the national theater institute. levit enjoys running. he admittedly overpronates too much for his own good. he is always in search of a truly comfortable pair of running shoes. occasionally, he smashes his guitar. |
